Let's Find a Beautiful Place to Get Lost.....

It is another dreary winter day in NYC and I am missing California greatly. I have not been home since I came here in June. Thankfully I will get to pay a visit to my beloved state at the end of the month....

Until then I will dream of spring time and floating dresses.

  1. Where are you from in California? I've gotta say... I'm missing it pretty bad right now too. I am still in South Carolina, where I am not from but my parents now live, since Obama did me a solid and I have health insurance. I have to catch up on a lot of that stuff. Plus (eek) do the whole wisdom teeth thing. I've gotta say though, I am not really missing Long Beach and I'm thinking about moving somewhere up north when I get back. This is what they call "too much information", i think.

  2. I am from San Jose but was living in San Francisco for five years during college. Where up north are you thinking? And good luck with the wisdom teeth. I never got mine out (apparently I have a big mouth) but I hear it is painful. (lots of ice cream!!) Is it as dreary in South Carolina as it is here in NYC?

  3. South Carolina is certainly dreary and lacks the allure of a big city, only making it worse. (Well, depending on the day, I guess.) Being from a family deeply sewn into the South can be both romantic and kind of like trying to climb out of a black hole. I think it's fantastic that you went to school in San Francisco. That's actually where I would love to live. Currently, I'm pondering moving back to the south for a year and then moving to Chicago or perhaps even New York. (But probably Chicago, because I have lots of friends there... If there is anything I've learned in California, it's that good friends make living far away from familiarity a lot easier!)
